Stop That Train

This is my second time recently featuring a song from Catch a Fire, and I really recommend rediscovering this album. It’s the first of Bob Marley’s string of really great albums recorded for Island Records throughout the 70’s. The Wailers didn’t have much success as the doo-wop group they started out as, but once they hit their stride playing roots reggae they were on a roll that didn’t break until Marley’s passing effectively ended the group. It’s amazing, actually, that they were able to produce such a powerful series of albums without a single clunker for almost ten years. It’s truly an impressive legacy.
