Strange Overtones

We waited decades (27 years to be exact) for Brian Eno and David Byrne to make a second album together, and in 2008 they did. That means we’ll probably have to wait another 15 years for the next one. (I did the math). If this doesn’t concern you, it should. Collaborative Brian Eno albums are one of my favorite mini subgenres, and part of the fun is the general obscurity and lack of fanfare that surrounds them. Also rewarding, exploring the arcane references and unexpected inspirations, if you like homework.
