Our Love Will Survive

The arrival of a new Wild Belle album is a thing that made me happy this year. I loved their first album and really, really didn’t want to see them fall to the wayside. I would still like to see them gain more traction in terms of you know, being well known, but the good news is they’re keeping it up on their end. The new record is in the same vein of California/Tropical jams, and Natalie Bergman is her selfsame bohemian-romantic self. We could parse whatever problematic elements come with the territory of white-girl Reggae (she really has an image of herself as a cool down home Jamaica girl, doesn’t she?) but honestly, why pick for faults in such sweet spirited music?
