Mommy, Daddy, You and I


The last Talking Heads album, and possibly the least. Which is not as dismissive as it sounds. A lesser Talking Heads album is still a great and worthy cause. But it does feel – and critics at the time seemed to have picked up on this – like the work of four people who are growing tired of each other. Hence the presence of numerous guest musicians, most notably Johnny Marr. Never mind, they had a good run together, and bowed out on far from a bad note, at least musically.
