This is a break from how angsty a lot of Blood on the Tracks is. Bob Dylan is an angsty fellow. His emotional default seems to be grumpy. So of course, it’s nice when he lets loose and just plays for fun. Although the lyrics are dark, they appear to be based on traditional blues tropes more than personal bile, and the tune itself sits lightly. Hey, he just wants to get up and go hang out on some imaginary street corner.
