I’ve no stomach right now for other people’s little love stories. I’m sick of my friends getting engaged, getting married, getting into relationships, having babies, talking about their boyfriends or exchanging cute Facebook messages. I’m looking at my future and I’m seeing ‘crazy cat lady’. Yeah, I’m feeling a little cynical at the moment. So I thought, here’s a really depressing sad song about bein’ all lonely. Seems I misinterpreted this one. Seems since Kris and Rita made it a duet it’s not so sad and lonely no more. And they’re so cute and sweet and sing so beautifully it’s impossible to be grinchy and begrudge them. Sadly, Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge didn’t stay married, but they sure made beautiful music for a while there. I don’t even believe in romance, but damn, that’s romantic right there.
