Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow, in no way shape or form inspired or derived from anyone or anything called Ziggy Stardust! Zinc Alloy is actually a plastic soul album heavily influenced by the Motown background of Bolan’s girlfriend Gloria Jones. It wasn’t much or a critical or commercial success, but Marc’s good friend David heard it and thought a blue-eyed soul album was a grand idea and ended up taking all the thunder, as is his way.
