Billie’s Blues

 

It’s a shame that there’s so little video documentation of such a great legend as Billie Holiday. Think about today, how every F-list fly-by-night reality ‘star’ can churn out hundreds of hours of ‘music’ videos. Back in the 30s and 40s no one thought they ought to film the perfomances of the biggest music stars. It probably never occurred to anyone that this would have historical value, or that decades later audiences would long to see something more than a snippet of the great Billie Holiday.
