Valkyrie – I realize Tom Cruise can’t be bothered to actually learn German, but couldn’t he at least have learned a German accent?

Little Britain – Here to disabuse us of our notion that British humor is more sophisticated than our own. Mean spirited and not at all funny

Up - It’s official. Pixar can do no wrong,

The Wackness – Ben Kingsley’s performance here is excellent and very funny. Surprisingly, so is Mary-Kate Olsen’s.

The Reader – Movie about post-war Germany is depressing. Kate Winslet is naked. What else is new?

Bigmouth Strikes Again

Video may not be best quality, sound-wise, but I like the performance. I think the song gains immensely with the visual performance. That’s true for a lot of songs,  but it’s especially true  for the Smiths. Their songs seem to gain a different dimension when you watch them play. They seem so dour on record, it’s no wonder they’re the ultimat icons of teen angst. But on stage they’re not so down. Look at Morrissey – he’s prancing around. He’s not dour at all.
