Acid Rain by Timbuk 3
Timbuk 3 is the most sadly underappreciated I know of. They are a husband and wife team of Pat and Barbara MacDonald. They made their first album in 1986 and their last in 1995. It’s funny how everybody knows their biggest hit “the Future’s So Bright” – sing along everybody ‘I gotta weeearrrr shaaaades!’ However, nobody knows who they are or any of their other songs. I had a really hard time finding more that a handful of decent pictures and very few videos. TImbuck 3 have made eight awesome albums. This song is from 1989′s “Edge of Allegience”, one of their best. They are known for their funky sound, and humourus, socially conscious lyrics.
I had great diffuclty with this post. Timbuk 3 have very few videos and certainly not for obscure deep album tracks. I wanted to put up a flash player for the song, but I lack the programming skillz to do that. I ended up editing a video myself. Those were the best pictures I could find in one Google. I’ll find new ones for the next time I post one of their songs. It was my first time using WIndows Movie Maker so that too longer than it had to. Then I had to sign up on YouTube and wait for it to process. So all in all I’ve been working on this for about four hours. But next time will be easier now I know what to do.
